CPSO: Calcasieu Parish woman charged with rape of minor
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A Calcasieu Parish woman has been arrested and charged with the rape of a minor, authorities said.
Natalie R. Chaline, 45, of Starks, is charged with third degree rape, indecent behavior with juveniles and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives began an investigation July 7 after receiving a report of a rape.
Investigators said the victim, who is under the age of 17, told detectives Chaline provided her with narcotics and had sex with her.
Chaline was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish and was required to register as a sex offender for 20 years, authorities said. She completed her sex offender registration in April of this year.
Detectives arrested Chaline on Wednesday and she was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $350,000 bond.
