Several dogs found in 'foul conditions' at Troy home
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An investigation is underway after several dogs were found in poor conditions at a residence in Troy on Saturday morning, according to the Troy Police Department. No arrests have been reported.
Just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, Troy patrol officers responded to a report of loose dogs in the area of 105th Street. After arriving to the scene, authorities determined that the dogs belonged to a nearby home on the same street, where they reported observing "foul conditions."
In a search of the home, Troy police allegedly found several additional dogs, many in poor health. At least one dog was found dead, officials said.
No individuals were at the home at the time of the search, according to police. The dogs were taken to a local animal hospital for evaluation and treatment.
