BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Will Robertson, who led the Bisons in home runs and RBI this season, was traded by the parent club Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday.
Robertson was traded to the Chicago White Sox for cash considerations.
The outfielder led the Bisons with 14 home runs and 44 runs batted in while hitting .292 and recording a .403 on-base percentage. He made his major league debut with Toronto in June, recording one hit in 10 at-bats across three games.
He was drafted by Toronto in the fourth round of the 2019 draft and had been with the organization since. He hit .223 with 19 home runs and 71 RBI in 119 games for the Bisons in 2024.
Robertson was optioned to Chicago's Triple A team in Charlotte.
The Bisons are 5-9 in the second half of the season so far and have lost four in a row. They return home on July 18 to face the Omaha Storm Chasers.
