COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - From a six-game series at Huntington Park, musicals and festivals, to 5K run and walks and historic home showcases. Here are things to see and do this weekend in Columbus and across central Ohio.
Clippers vs. Bats
Huntington Park, through July 13
- The Columbus Clippers face the Louisville Bats as part of their six-game series at Huntington Park.
Hamilton
Ohio Theatre, Now through July 20
- The show follows the journey of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he "fights for honor, love and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation," according to CAPA. Tickets are on sale now.
Dash for Donation
Genoa Park, July 12
- Participate in a 5K or Family Fun walk through Downtown Columbus. The event helps bring the community together to raise awareness and support for organ, eye and tissue donation. Anyone wanting to participate can still register online.
Free Kayak Days
Scioto River, July 12 from 1 to 5 p.m.
- Enjoy the summer views of the Scioto River with a free kayak ride. The boat will launch under the Main Street Bridge near Bicentennial Park. All experience levels are welcome to join.
Columbus Book Festival
96 S. Grant Ave. and Topiary Park, July 12-13
- Visit the Columbus Metropolitan Library for two full days of books and reading. Check out more than 200 national and Columbus-based authors, book signings, panel discussions, author talks and much more. The Festival Marketplace will also feature a wide variety of book retailers, entertainment and a local food court.
Nationwide Picnic with the Pops
Columbus Commons, July 12 at 8 p.m.
- Picnic with the Pops returns for another weekend featuring Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony. The experience will even feature Dolly on a screen, along with a guest vocalist and musicians that were picked by Dolly herself. Tickets are on sale now.
Buckeye Comic-Cons
Aladdin Shrine Center at 1801 Gateway Center, July 12 at 10 a.m.
- The event will feature more than 30 vendors with 150,000 comics, toys and other pop culture items. Admission is $8.
Olde Towne East Summer Tour of Homes
July 13 from noon to 5 p.m.
- Take a tour through the Olde Towne East neighborhood, viewing several historic and beautiful homes in the area. Tickets for the annual showcase is on sale now.
Columbus Disabilities Festival
