PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Yelp released its list of the best sushi bars in the Portland metro area in 2025, spanning Beaverton establishments to a food cart in Multnomah Village.

The platform made its ranked list based on the volume and ratings of reviews from Yelp Elite Squad members.

Below are the top five sushi bars on Yelp’s list.

1. Yuubi Sushi

Yuubi Sushi, the self-described "hidden gem in the heart of Beaverton," boasts a 4.8-star rating on Yelp.

"Step into our cozy, modern setting where you'll always see Chef Ricky behind the sushi bar, masterfully creating new off-menu items for the adventurous. From traditional nigiri and sashimi to innovative rolls bursting with unique flavors, every plate reflects culinary artistry," Yuubi Sushi's website says. "With a commitment to the finest ingredients, such as rich, dry-aged hon maguro and sweet Hokkaido uni, along with exclusive Hokkaido rice and aged vinegar, anticipate a delightful harmony of flavors."

According to Yelp, popular dishes include "Dragon" rolls -- featuring beer-battered tempura shrimp with eel and avocado and drizzled with eel sauce for a sweet finish -- along with the Finity rolls -- which includes Japanese kani salad with peach, topped with dry-aged New Zealand King salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, unagi sauce and fried onion.

2. Bluefin Tuna & Sushi

Bluefin Tuna & Sushi was established in South Korea in 2011 before opening its doors in Portland in June 2020.

Sitting along Northeast Broadway Street, the sushi bar earned a 4.6-star Yelp rating.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the Bluefin tuna salad and the Mountain on Fire Roll -- featuring Hamachi, avocado, and cucumber, topped with tempura flakes, spicy and unagi sauce, white mayo green onion and tobiko.

3. Murata Restaurant

Established in 1988, Murata Restaurant sits along Portland's SW Market Street.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the spicy tuna roll and sweet shrimp sushi.

One Yelp Elite reviewer raved, "Murata is an unassuming little place, with great food. I knew I'd found a great place as soon as I heard all the Japanese being spoken. They had 4 chefs behind the sushi counter and plenty of wait staff to make sure that guests were cared for quickly -- a great way to make sure that a relatively small space never felt overcrowded, even at dinner," one Yelp Elite reviewer raved. "The fish was delicious and I could taste how fresh it was in all the best ways. I can't wait to come back again!"

4. Koya Sushi

Koya Sushi, in Beaverton, earned the fourth spot on the Yelp list -- boasting 4.8 stars.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the PDX roll with spicy tuna, crab and avocado topped with seared salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce, masago, and green onion.

One elite Yelp reviewer wrote, "BEST JAPANESE IN PORTLAND! Located in the old town area of Beaverton, this tiny little Japanese restaurant packs a big wallop! The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and the portions are big. I ordered the Bento box and easily could have shared it. So much food! All the sushi and sashimi were excellent, the tempura was wonderful, and we even had a delicious cold sake. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Check out the amazing Shogun Tower Roll."

5. Yoshi's Sushi

Rounding out the top five list: Yoshi's, which is located in Multnomah Village French Quarter.

The sushi food cart earned a 4.9-star rating on Yelp.

According to Yelp, popular dishes include the Lime Green roll -- featuring sesame-crusted spinach, cucumber, roasted pepper, avocado, micro green salad and ginger miso -- along with the spicy tuna roll, which includes spicy tuna, cucumber and kaiware sprouts.
