9 Goals, 18 Games: Man Utd confirm their third signing of this summer
Manchester United have announced the signing of young sensation Enzo Kana-Biyik.
He joined on a free transfer after his contract with Le Havre expired in June.
Man United have also revealed that the French striker will be a loaned out immediately to Ineos-owned FC Lausanne-Sport.
Kana-Biyik has now followed in the footsteps of Paul Pogba, who also joined United as a teenager from Le Havre.
The teenager is a highly-rated forward who made his France U18 international debut last month.
His nine goals in 18 games for Le Havre’s Under-19s team were enough for the United scouts to make a move for him.
He also earned a place on the bench for the first team on two occasions.
The Red Devils reportedly beat stern competition from European giants like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
United will hope that the 18-year-old can enjoy a smashing season at Lausanne-Sport.
Based on his development, they could integrate him into the Under-21s or the first team next season.
The Red Devils have been very active in signing young starlets over the last 18 months.
They snapped up centre-back Leny Yoro, who looked destined for a switch to Real Madrid.
Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven left Arsenal to join United, having seen a better pathway to the senior team.
All three teenagers made their debuts for the United first team last campaign.
Kana-Biyik is United’s third signing of the summer after Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.
The Paraguayan full-back officially completed his switch to Old Trafford last week.
He is initially expected to play for the United youth teams in order to get acclimatised to life in Manchester.
