Matthew McConaughey & Woody Harrelson Apple TV+ Show Suspends Filming After Showrunner Departure
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson‘s Apple TV+ comedy is in limbo.
The series paused production recently after showrunner David West Read left. Matthew, 55, and Woody, 63, reunited for the series after starring together in True Detective. The comedy is said to be inspired by the pair’s real-life friendship and follows as the two live together on a Texas ranch, pushing their friendship to its limits.

A source told Deadline that filming has been suspended following David‘s departure. The showrunner reportedly left the production due to creative disagreements on how to end the season with 8 of the 10 episodes having been filmed.
The publication is also reporting that the network is eyeing Lee Eisenberg to take over production for the final two episodes. Lee preciously worked on Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry. No replacement has been confirmed officially and production has remained suspended.
