Morning Briefing: Steve, Alex Cohen Praised in Player Poll
Good morning, Mets fans!
The Athletic released an anonymous player poll on Wednesday, asking over 100 major leaguers their answers to several questions. When it came to the Mets’ hospitality, the Cohens continue to be held in high regard: “The best family room in the league, by far, is the Mets. The Cohen family put a bunch of money into that because they know how important it is to take care of family.”
Along with that, Juan Soto came in first place when The Athletic asked pitchers who they would least like to face in Game 7 of the World Series.

The Mets keep on rolling! They took down the Washington Nationals for their fifth win in a row on Wednesday, locking up the series win against the Nats. David Peterson had his best start as a pro on Wednesday night, throwing a complete game shutout. Peterson got some help from the Mets offense, who showed off their power with three home runs in a 5-0 win.
New York goes for the series sweep on Thursday at 1:10 p.m. ET as Kodai Senga (6-3, 1.59 ERA) will face Mike Soroka (3-3, 4.86 ERA).
