Tottenham are now considering a move for a 22-year-old winger who recorded an impressive 24 goal contributions last season – but they are not the only club circling.
Tottenham Hotspur need to strengthen their first-team squad following their abysmal Premier League campaign last term, which saw them finish 17th, a single spot above the relegation zone.
Regardless of their horrific domestic form, the Lilywhites did manage to secure their first piece of silverware in 17 years, after they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League, securing a spot in next season’s Champions League and bolstering their financial pot.
With a place in the UCL confirmed, the need to bolster the squad has surely increased, with reports suggesting that Tottenham could bring as many as five new signings to Hotspur Way this summer.

TeamTalk are now reporting that Tottenham are considering a move for RB Salzburg winger Dorgeles Nene this summer.
It is claimed that the club have been monitoring Nene’s progress closely, although no formal move has yet been made by the North London side, who view him as a player of high potential and someone firmly on their radar.
Capable of operating on both flanks, Nene has impressed this season, making 46 appearances across all competitions for Salzburg in 2024/25, scoring 15 goals and registering nine assists along the way.
It is understood that the winger believes he is ready for a step up. Spurs, on their part, are said to be keeping tabs on multiple targets this summer, and Nene is one name on their list.

Of course, Tottenham are not the only side interested in the young forward, with reports revealing that five other clubs are also monitoring the situation.
Interest in Nene appears to be growing in Germany, with Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg said to be tracking the 22-year-old after being impressed by his recent performances in Austria. Both clubs are believed to be weighing up a future move.
There is also interest from Italy, as Lazio and Fiorentina have been following his development in recent months. However, neither club is understood to have made a concrete approach yet, with their interest remaining at the scouting stage.
As for Salzburg, they are thought to be open to selling Nene this summer if the right offer comes in, with reports indicating an asking price between €20m (£16.8m) and €25m (£21m).
