Saturday suss water and nice waves
Hello Friends,
Blue skies, light NW wind and a fading but still fun-size swell this morning. But I’m staying out because of all that rain we’ve just enjoyed. Surf should fun-size again tomorrow and then getting into the knee to waist high range by Monday morning.
The good news from this morning’s swell models is that we just might see a significant mid-week pulse. According to the GFS model Wednesday morning could see 2.7 metres of straight south at 10 seconds along with sunny skies, brisk 11 C air temps and 13 kts of west wind to kick things off. Then on Thursday the weather clouds over, it stays chilly and offshore, but the swell hits the 4 metre mark… It’s just modelling, I know, so our mileage may vary. Nice to see though.
Have yourself a great Saturday everyone!
Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system and associated trough have moved offshore, turning the winds west to northwesterly. A series of weak cold fronts will cross the coastal waters on the weekend. Winds will turn northerly ahead of a strong cold front that is forecast to cross the coastal waters early next week.
