Trump approves Kansas disaster declaration request
KANSAS (KSNT) - The Trump administration has approved a request from Governor Laura Kelly for a federal disaster declaration.
On Friday, the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department announced that President Donald Trump had approved the declaration due to severe winds, straight line winds, flooding and wildfires that happened between March 14-19 this year.
Multiple Kansas counties sustained damage to utility infrastructure, roads, bridges and some government-owned buildings during this period, according to a news release from the Adjutant General’s Department.
