Huge telly star shares snap of rarely seen son – can you tell who his dad is?
SIMON Cowell stunned fans after sharing a rarely-seen snap of his son to Instagram yesterday.
TV star Simon, 65, proudly embraced 11-year-old Eric as they enjoyed an afternoon stroll with German Shepherd, Pebbles, in the sun.
The father-son-duo wore matching navy T-shirts, with Simon opting for trousers in a darker shade and sunglasses – while Eric kept cool with shorts.
In his caption, the music mogul wrote: “1. Love. 2. Even more love. 3. It was a long walk.”
Eric was born February 14, 2014 and is Simon’s only child with his fiancee Lauren Silverman, 47.
Shortly after he was born, The Sun revealed that his godmother is singer Sinitta, who was previously in a relationship with The X Factor creator.
Simon previously divulged his plans for Eric to one day take over his business – including becoming a Britain’s Got Talent judge.
In a 2018 interview, he said he’d been secretly mentoring Eric since he started walking, believing he’ll be the only candidate to take over the reins.
He told us: “I look at things through his eyes now.
“I want to spend more time with him. I’m lucky because he likes the shows, so he comes down to them with me. I’m sort of training him up.”
And, the previous year, he melted hearts, this time on The X Factor. when he helped out his superstar dad.
During the episode, he was seen taking some satsumas from his famous father during the Six Chair Challenge.
Eric also completely stole the show on Britain’s Got Talent by making a surprise appearance on the panel.
Simon’s adorable son was excited about sitting in his seat at the panel and told Amanda Holden that he would be a really good judge.
When asked what Simon’s job was Eric cutely said: “I am daddy’s job now.”
He also managed to upstage Simon during an interview on Loose Women.
The tot was seen gate-crashing the interview when he jumped on to his dad’s lap before trying to clip a peg on to his nose.
As Simon cried out in pain, Robbie Williams‘ wife Ayda Field, who was doing the interview, asked the youngster who the best judge on BGT was.
Eric said it was his dad Simon, to which the mogul replied: “He has to say that!”
Just recently, Simon revealed Eric’s secret musical talent.
The former Syco boss said: “He’s decided that he’s going to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. That is going to be total torture.
“I mean, of all the things I’ve ever done, this will probably be the hardest. I said, because he does play drums, ‘Are you going to drum?’ and he said he wants to sing.”
