Good morning! Aren’t you eager to go to the polls today and cast that one powerful vote of yours? We trust that you have gone over the only guide you’ll need on Election Day 2025, which Rappler sent yesterday.
As we’ve also warned, though, bad actors will mount sustained efforts to discredit the voting process and results, and discourage people from casting their votes. So, we were also working double time debunking them. In fact, it’s been raining fact checks over the weekend:
- FACT CHECK: Comelec’s ballot is not prone to overvote due to ink bleeding
- FACT CHECK: Leaving blanks on ballot will not lead to vote manipulation
- FACT CHECK: Poll watchers not allowed to take photos of voter receipts
- FACT CHECK: QR codes in voter receipt don’t show names of candidates voted for
- FACT-CHECK: No mismatch in ACM hash code, audit report – Comelec
- FACT CHECK: Bayan Muna party-list group has not been disqualified
- FACT CHECK: Pasig holds Comelec-approved event, not vote-buying
- FACT CHECK: Local surveys showing Duterte family, others winning, are fake — Pulse Asia
- FACT CHECK: Maguindanao del Norte gubernatorial bet Teng Mangudadatu has not been disqualified
- FACT CHECK: Spliced video falsely claims Comelec hit Oriental Mindoro bet for vote-buying
Moving on from these false information and conspiracy theories, there are four pages I encourage you to bookmark today.
2025 Philippine elections: Candidates, voting, results, winners is our Developing Story page. This contains live updates from polling centers, election hotspots, watchdog monitors, political HQs, proclamation halls, and government press briefings throughout the day. All bite-sized.
The Rappler Election Site will become the 2025 Philippine Elections Results site at around 6 pm, or an hour before the polls close and the vote-counting machines start transmitting counts to the central servers in Manila. Within a few seconds — actually, almost instantly — the transmission received by the Comelec Media Server will show on the Rappler site.
Here, there’s a page for the levels of contests you want to monitor: senatorial results, party list results, and local results. On the Local Races pages, you will find the following tabs: Metro Manila, Provinces, Independent Cities, and BARMM. Click on the locality you want to check out. You also have the option of just typing in the locality’s name in the search bar.
Rappler’s YouTube channel will bring you all the sights and sounds of election day. This is where you will find our live reports from our reporters, stringers, MovePH volunteers, and fellowship candidates; the day’s recaps; the short takes, and the shows with our columnists and guest analysts.
Finally, after being active, vigilant, and responsible citizens, use that indelible ink on your right forefinger for some election ROIs. We have a list of restaurants and shops that have promos for those who cast their votes.
As our pun-loving food reporter Steph Arnaldo puts it, on election day we are allowed to have the best of ‘vote’ worlds! – Rappler.com
