Former Traitors star reveals how to win BBC show ahead of Celebrity edition and hints of castle return
TRAITORS fan favourite Diane Carson has issued a warning to the famous faces who are going to appear in the show’s celebrity version.
She told me: “They should park their career and just get on with playing the game. It’s important to have fun.”
Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry have all signed up to Celebrity Traitors, which will air on BBC One later this year.
And Diane, who was in last year’s series with son Ross, would like to return to Ardross Castle for a second stint.
She said: “I would play the game very differently the next time around.
“I’d be ready to get more involved.”
VE Day party at the Vic
Albert Square will take a step back in time for a special VE Day episode next week.
To mark the 80th anniversary of the German surrender in World War Two, EastEnders will see the residents of Walford come together and party like it is . . . 1995.
With symptoms of his dementia taking hold, Paul Bradley’s Nigel will be convinced that he is back in the Nineties, and that a party has been planned to mark the 50th anniversary of the surrender.
The celebration takes place in The Queen Vic after Gillian Wright’s Jean convinces landlady Linda, played by Kellie Bright, to re-open it after the devastating fire earlier this year.
The VE Day episode will feature nods to wartime Britain, with historical footage laced into the action.
And Nigel, who rejoined the BBC One soap over Christmas after more than a quarter of a century off-screen, will take to the dance floor and prove he has still got life left in him.
Just days ago fans watched as the vulnerable pensioner, who had been considering ending his own life so that he would not become a burden, was attacked by a gang of thugs.

Brenda new sub
She waved goodbye to Vera earlier this year – but Brenda Blethyn has already signed up for a new Channel 4 drama.
She will play Emma Harte in rags-to-riches story A Woman Of Substance, adapted from the 1979 Barbara Taylor Bradford novel.
Brenda will be joined by Jessica Reynolds, who is playing the younger Emma.
Deborah Kerr and Jenny Seagrove played the roles in a 1984 version, which was also on Channel 4.
Brenda said: “I’m overjoyed to be taking on this iconic role in the footsteps of the great Deborah – as a fan of (the novel), it is an unmissable opportunity to play the fierce Emma Harte.”
