Joel’s love of coffee is addressed in the show as well. If you remember back to season 1, episode 4, Joel and Ellie have a back-and-forth while camping.
Upon smelling coffee, Ellie remarks, “Urgh, what the f-k is that?”
“You don’t like coffee?” Joel says in response.
Ellie said, “Is that seriously what those Starbucks in the QZ used to sell?”
“Well, theirs was a lot fresher than what Bill saved up, but yeah, this is what they sold,” Joel shares.
“Smells like…burned sh-t,” Ellie retorts.
She’s putting coffee beans on his grave as a sign of respect for her late father figure.
If you missed it, Bella recently commented on not physically matching Ellie from the video game, and they also opened up what’s required for their green rider in their contract.
