In scenes called out by eagle-eyed viewers, JoJo Siwa was spotted kissing Chris Hughes on the shoulder on Celebrity Big Brother.
Love Island legend Chris was also seen caressing JoJo’s face, with their intimate behaviour sending tongues wagging.
While the tender moment wasn’t shown on the main run of the ITV reality series, it featured on the CBB Live Stream.
Fans of the show were continually left confused over Chris’ seemingly “flirty” behaviour towards JoJo, who was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs at the time.
The moment came not long after CBB fans were left convinced JoJo’s romance with her non-binary partner was “on the rocks” after a less-than-gushing letter from home.
The note was from JoJo’s mum, Jess — but it also included a message from the Dance Moms star’s then-partner.
Jojo headed straight to the Diary Room to complain about the lack of affection in the letter, which was read out after the actress and singer clarified her sexuality on the show.
JoJo said: “I think I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian… I think being here, I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.”
A source told The Sun: “JoJo and Chris have been the talking point of the series, with the ‘will-they won’t-they’ narrative.
“Even if it’s purely platonic, as they claim, fans are convinced Kath must be furious about the endless physical contact, at least.”
Who is Kath Ebbs?
Kath Ebbs is a 27-year-old Australian influencer, actor and queer advocate.
Kath uses “they/them” pronouns and has gained recognition for their work in modelling, blogging and acting.
This includes portraying the first-ever non-binary character in Aussie soap Neighbours — Asher Nesmith.
Kath is not only known for their advocacy, but also for their entrepreneurial ventures.
They run a health food store called The Smoothie Bowl Shack and a food blog called Call Me Kath.
Additionally, Kath co-hosts the podcast I’ve Always Said That and is an ever-growing presence on social media platforms.
As of April 28, 2025, they have almost 113,000 Instagram followers and a further 154,000 on TikTok.
How they met
JoJo Siwa and Kath were first linked in November 2024 after posting about each other indirectly on social media.
Their love story began through a mutual connection.
They were introduced by Australian singer-songwriter G Flip and developed a close friendship over the following six months.
Their bond deepened as they spent time together, including frequent line dancing outings, which Kath described as “a match made in line dancing heaven” in an interview with Pedestrian.
The emotional connection between them grew rapidly, with Kath noting that they would spend hours on FaceTime every night.

The break-up
JoJo and Kath’s relationship came to an abrupt end just hours after the Celebrity Big Brother finale.
On April 26, 2025, in an emotional Instagram video, the Aussie content creator said they were in “complete shock” and felt “numbed out and humiliated” the day after receiving the news.
Kath said: “Before I could even get back to the hotel I went to the afterparty with, I guess my now ex, crazy thing to say, and was dumped in the party.
“I was told that there are confused feelings there, do with that what you will, and they had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable.”

Mickey Rourke caught major heat from Kath, who didn’t hold back.
They called him a “disgusting and dangerous pig” and urged everyone watching to “vote him out.”
Things really blew up in the Celebrity Big Brother house after Mickey made a series of homophobic remarks that left JoJo in tears.
Viewers watched in horror as the Hollywood star, 72, called JoJo, 21, a ‘f**’ and insinuated he could “make her straight” during their time in the house.
The Dance Moms star’s partner, Kath, took to Instagram to vent their outrage, calling for Mickey to be kicked off the show immediately.
While they praised and thanked Chris Hughes for “backing” their partner, they went on to fume about the Wrestler actor’s behavior.
Addressing their followers, they said: “A lot of people want to know my thoughts on Mickey Rourke, or however the f*** you say his last name, on his comments towards my partner JoJo on Big Brother.
“And quite frankly it is beyond disgusting and it’s literally taken me many hours to even process what the f*** I just watched.

“Not only because that is the literal love of my life and I want to protect her at all costs, and I feel so helpless that I cannot be there to not only comfort her, but to also lose it at that weasel of a man.
“But secondly take the fact out that I have massive emotional stakes in the comments towards her.”
Things really blew up after a conversation between Mickey and JoJo, where the actor shockingly claimed he could change the gay singer’s sexuality.
“Do you like girls or boys?” he asked her, during a conversation in the smoking area.
JoJo replied: “Me? Girls. My partner is non-binary.”
Mickey then left her stunned when he replied: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”
Putting him in his place, JoJo told him in no uncertain terms: “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship.”
To make matters worse, Mickey then used a homophobic slur towards JoJo when he was chatting to Chris in the garden, which left JoJo in tears.
Big Brother quickly stepped in, calling Mickey to the diary room where he was hit with a formal warning and told that his language and behavior were completely out of line.
“I apologise. I don’t have dishonourable intentions — I’m just talking smack, you know?” Mickey said.
