President Trump’s Truth post rapidly went viral across sports media. Nevertheless, on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, all 32 NFL teams passed on Shedeur Sanders’s services at quarterback, four times each.

Then, finally, on Saturday, the Cleveland Browns selected Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round of the 2025 NFL draft. Sadly for Shedeur Sanders, the Browns currently feature four competitive quarterbacks on their roster, meaning Shedeur Sanders will struggle to see early playing time.

Moreover, Shedeur Sanders’s slide from the #1 overall projected slot, to the 5th round, is expected to cost the young quarterback a minimum of $44 million upfront, according to the premier sports contractual database, Sportrac.
