Super-Rare Photos of Malia & Sasha Obama Show How They Changed Up Their Street Style Into This Trend

Malia Obama and Sasha Obama showed everyone they can rock whatever look they choose! In case you missed it, during their latest outing with friends in Los Angeles on Easter, the pair looked so chic! And in the photos obtained by Hello Magazine, we see they’re embracing the darker side of boho fashion. It’s like if goth and boho had a stylish new trend!

In the photos, we see them rocking their boho street style, but with a much darker color palette. Malia showcased her cool-girl style by rocking a pair of chocolate brown trousers with a black crop top and a beige jacket. And of course, she was rocking her gorgeous red-hued hair!

As for Sasha, she stuck with her Y2K-inspired roots by donning a black jacket zipped over a white shirt, along with a black maxi skirt and a chunky belt.

While their styles are quite similar to boho fashion, Sasha definitely embodies Y2K style still, and Malia with her more free-spirited roots. However, with this darker color palette, it shows more edge, and more gothic elements, to their headline-making looks!

For those who don’t know, Michelle Obama and former US President Barack Obama have two children together. After getting married in 1992, Michelle and Barack welcomed two daughters through IVF named Malia Ann, born on July 4, 1998, and Natasha (better known as Sasha), born on June 10, 2001.

While Sasha hasn’t publicly discussed her fashion sense, Malia did so briefly in 2024. During a rare outing at the opening ceremony of the 50th Deauville American Film Festival on Sept 6, 2024, she talked about the event and her Vivienne Westwood look and how, surprisingly, she doesn’t know much about fashion.

She said in a TikTok with Paris Match, “[It’s] Vivienne Westwood. Queen! It’s cool. I don’t know as much about fashion, but I’m happy to be wearing it.”
