Jordan or LeBron? New Bears TE Colston Loveland nimbly dodges question
Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland doesn’t like to lose games, snaps or arguments.
“Refuses to lose in anything, whether it’s that, whether it’s a talk about Jordan or LeBron, or whether it’s a talk about anything football,” Michigan coach Sherrone Moore said Friday.
Wait a minute — does he really think LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan?
“I’ll let you guys handle that,” Moore told the media.
An hour or so later, Loveland was asked that very question. He was smart enough not to tell the truth.
“Next question,” he said to a room full of laughter.
The Bears drafted Loveland on Thursday with the No. 10 pick. They followed Friday by selecting Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III (No. 39 overall), Boston College offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo (No. 56) and Texas A&M defensive tackle Shemar Turner (No. 62) in the second round.
They have a pick in the fourth, fifth and seventh remaining.
