SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady County District Attorney's Office said David Ayala was sentenced to 25 years to life for the killing of Mateo Henderson in November 2022 on Odell Street.
Ayala was convicted of manslaughter in January but was acquitted of the more severe charge of second degree murder.
The court found that Ayala shot Henderson due to a past altercation between the two men earlier in the year.
