Why 'Shark Tank' Won't Air a New Episode Tonight (April 25) & When New Episodes Return

Shark Tank is taking a week off from airing!

The unscripted series, which gives “people from all walks of life the chance to chase the American Dream and potentially secure business deals that could make them millionaires,” typically airs new episodes on Friday nights on ABC, but there will be no new episode tonight (April 25) after consistently airing episodes all month.

Instead, there is something else airing in it’s place.

The reason Shark Tank is not airing on ABC tonight is because the 2025 NFL Draft is continuing with night two this evening (April 25).

The NFL Draft takes place over the course of three days every year in April. Tonight’s event will span rounds two and three of the draft, where college football prospects will be chosen by the 32 NFL teams, pick-by-pick.

This evening’s festivities air from 7pm all the way until 11:30 pm ET on ABC, meaning there’s no way a new episode of Shark Tank could air in its regularly scheduled timeslot.

When will Shark Tank return with new episodes?

The series will return NEXT Friday (May 2) at 8pm ET/PT on ABC, and next day on Hulu.

Here’s an episode synopsis: Entrepreneurs pitch their innovative products, including a family-made Eastern European pierogi, a permanent fix for lost phone chargers, a kitchen fan that prevents “onion eyes,” and a smart mini fridge designed exclusively for your favorite drinks.
