Free flower shows around NYC to celebrate blooming spring
NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- Spring is in full bloom in New York City and to celebrate flower shows are popping up all over the city.

Macy's Flower Show
The Macy's Flower Show is back for its 50th Anniversary this time with the theme “Surrealist Garden.” Floral displays and immersive experiences throughout the store are free. Visitors can also enjoy limited edition spring and botanical-themed shopping and food offerings.

Hudson Yards Fleurs de Villes Downton Abbey
Travel back in time to early 20th-century England with the "Fleurs de Villes Downton Abbey" flower show at Hudson Yards. In anticipation of the third Downton Abbey film, New York-based florists display period fashion through floral artistry. The collection includes designs ranging from Lady Mary’s sophisticated beaded gowns to statement hats.

NYBG in Bloom on Madison Avenue
Participating businesses along Madison Avenue will create a floral show within their storefront as part of a week-long festival. The theme follows Van Gogh’s Flowers as a lead-up to the NYBG exhibition of the same name. Additionally, 10% of proceeds from all purchases made on April 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be donated to the New York Botanical Garden.
