Classic video game soundtrack concert coming to Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Empire Underground in Albany will be hosting an evening of classic video game music with rock band Bit Brigade. The performance is set for May 3 at 8 p.m.
Bit Brigade is famous for their live, energetic renditions of iconic video game soundtracks, ranging from "The Legend of Zelda" and "Castlevania" to "Metroid" and "Mega Man". The group is joined for their shows by their designated professional gamer, Noah McCarthy, who attempts to fly through the various video games in "speedruns" that are projected to the audience as the band accompanies his gameplay.
The Albany concert will feature music from Super Nintendo (SNES) smash hits "Super Mario World" and "F-Zero." The show will kick off with a performance by electronica artist nmlstyl.
