'RuPaul's Drag Race' Alum Jiggly Caliente's Leg Amputated Amid 'Severe Infection'
RuPaul’s Drag Race album and Pose star Jiggly Caliente is facing a severe infection.
The 44-year-old drag entertainer’s leg was amputated after “a serious health setback” over the past month, her family confirmed.
In a social media statement on Thursday (April 24), Jiggly‘s family – using her real name, Bianca Castro, revealed that “due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized,” resulting in “the loss of most of her right leg.”

“Because of these circumstances, Bianca will not be appearing in the upcoming season of Drag Race Philippines, nor will she be participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future,” they wrote, confirming that “her recovery will be extensive.”
Her family said her focus is now “on healing.”
They also asked fans to “uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels.”
“Bianca‘s family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers,” the statement concludes.
