Music therapists helping kids communicate
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Music therapists at Wildwood School are opening up a world of possibilities to students with developmental and learning disabilities, as well as students with autism.
Alec Betterley and Dara Ribis make students active participants in class, as they play instruments, sing, and even compose music. They say it helps the students communicate beyond words, brings out their creativity, and helps them grow.
