Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn tips: Odds, undercard, and more

A NEW chapter will be added to the storied Benn vs Eubank rivalry this weekend.

Over three decades since their father stood toe-to-toe, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. will finally settle their differences when they meet in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

This fight has been several years in the making, with the original bout between the two being postponed in October 2022 due to Benn failing a banned substance test.

With so much history between the two, Saturday night promises plenty of fireworks. In this Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn betting preview, I break down some of the best bets punters can place ahead of the fight.

Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn odds

Chris Eubank comes into the fight as the favourite at 4/6 with bet365, which is not going to be a huge surprise to anyone. Benn’s absence from the ring and his jump up in weight mean he is a bit of an unknown on Saturday, which is reflected in his 11/8 odds.

Eubank vs Benn fight outcome odds

Let’s take a look at some of the odds for potential finishes in the Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn fight.

  • Chris Eubank Jr. by KO, TKO or DQ – 13/10
  • Conor Benn by KO, TKO or DQ – 5/2
  • Chris Eubank Jr. by Decision or Technical Decision – 3/1
  • Conor Benn by Decision or Technical Decision  – 8/1
  • Draw or Technical Draw – 16/1

Odds provided by Betfred are subject to change.

Chris Eubank Jr. form and latest fights

Chris Eubank Jr. will be coming into Saturday’s fight full of confidence, having won eight of his last nine outings.

Eubank’s last fight saw him defeat Kamil Szeremeta with a dominant 7th-round stoppage in Saudi Arabia last October. Prior to this, he had his highly publicised feud with Liam Smith in 2023.

After being humbled by Smith in January that year, he bounced back with what was arguably the performance of his career in their rematch, taking Smith apart expertly over the course of ten rounds.

Stats:

  • Age: 35
  • Height: 5ft 11
  • Weight: 168lbs
  • Record: 34-3-0

Conor Benn’s form and latest fights

While Eubank Jr is the more experienced of the two fighters, Benn arrives in North London with an unbeaten record.

The Greenwich-born boxer has won all 23 of his professional fights to date, winning 14 by stoppage. All eyes will be on Benn as he competes in his first major bout following his much-publicised suspension in 2023.

He has fought twice since his original fight with Eubank was called off in late 2022, defeating Rodolfo Orozco and Peter Dobson, both by unanimous decision. Neither of these fighters are big-names, raising question marks around Benn’s form coming into Saturday.

Stats:

  • Age: 28
  • Height: 5ft 8in
  • Weight: 147lb
  • Record: 23-0-0

Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn betting tips

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn promises to be one of the most exciting fights of the year this weekend, which means there are plenty of potentially lucrative betting opportunities available. The following are my top betting picks for Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn.

Chris Eubank Jr. to Win by KO/TKO/DQ

The chances of this fight going the distance feel slim, with both men looking to prove a point in what has become one of British boxing’s most talked-about rivalries. While Benn is likely to come out of the gates strong, Eubank’s experience will mean he should be able to weather the storm.

We have never seen Benn fight at this weight before, but Eubank still has a significant advantage, being much more experienced at fighting bigger opponents. Backing Eubank at 6/4 for the KO/TKO/DQ win with bet365 offers good value.

Conor Benn to be knocked down

One of the most attractive offers I could find for this weekend’s fight was Betfred’s boosted price on Conor Benn to get knocked down. The odds have been boosted from 4/5 to evens, and as I’ve already mentioned throughout this betting guide, I expect Eubank to be able to survive an early storm from Benn and take him down in the later rounds.

Eubank’s experience and power, and the fact that Benn has not come up against an opponent as fierce as Eubank, suggest that, at evens, backing Benn to get knocked down with Betfred is an excellent bet.

Under 9.5 Rounds

We can fully expect Saturday’s fight to be explosive, with both fighters wanting to prove a point in a feud that feels like it has been going on since the fathers of both boxers stepped into the ring.

Both men will be looking for the stoppage; Benn will need to harness his aggression, while Eubank should be able to utilise his power shots effectively. At 4/6, there is value in backing the fight to be under 9.5 rounds with talkSPORT BET.
