Rayne awaits to celebrate the 53rd Annual Frog Festival
RAYNE, La. (KLFY) -- Hop on down to Rayne where they will be celebrating the 53rd Annual Frog Festival from May 8-10.
Festivities will be held at the Frog Festival Pavilion right off of Exit 87 on I-10 in Acadia Parish. The frog fest will be hosting plenty of family fun activities including holding a live frog, face painting, games, coloring and carnival rides.
The event will kick off with a parade starting on Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. and will open the carnival at 5 p.m. with no entrance. On Friday, May 9 until Saturday, May 10 the entrance fee will be $10. Festival goers are reminded there will clear bag policy, one entrance and gun free one.
This year will also include a musical line up that will be a two day set. On Friday, music will showcase the talented performances of Clifton Brown & the Rusty Bucket Band will be on at 6 pm, Adam Leger at 8 pm and Wayne Toups at 10 pm closing out the night. On Saturday, Mike Larson & the Ones that Got Away will be on at 12 pm, Southern Man Doo at 2 pm, 4 Horses at 4 pm, Swampland Revival at 6 pm, Double Trouble at 8:00 pm and 80’s Experience at 10:00 pm closing out the night.
