Tornado warnings temporarily issued for NE Kansas counties
Update 5:57 p.m.: The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Osage County until 6:15 p.m. Residents could experience one-inch size hail.
Update: The tornado warning expired at 5:15 p.m. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Douglas, Osage and Shawnee Counties until 5:45 p.m.
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Tornado warnings have been issued for several counties in northeast Kansas Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued tornado warnings for multiple northeast Kansas counties. Tornado warnings for Jefferson, Shawnee and Jackson Counties are in effect until 5:15 p.m.
Residents should be aware of half dollar size hail, according to the NWS.
