Reform will beat Labour in next election unless Govt takes five key steps – first one is getting rid of Rachel Reeves

NEVER let it be said that the people of Britain don’t have good judgment.

I’ve just read an opinion poll which shows that Rachel Reeves is the most unpopular woman in the country.

Rachel Reeves is the most unpopular woman in the country, according to an opinion poll[/caption]

She has a favourability score of MINUS 38. Yep, worse than Sir Keir. Worse than Kemi Badenoch.

It doesn’t mean she’s the most unpopular person in Britain ever. I mean, King John was a total bastard. And King George III should have been locked up in the booby hatch.

They were both very unpopular. I hope this fact gives Rachel some consolation.

None of the politicians are terribly popular, mind. We have a Government with a huge majority but, weirdly, not much public support. The Tories? A few, like Robert Jenrick, are trying to make a decent fist of being in Opposition.

But you don’t see much of them, do you?

They have become almost an irrelevance. Because the party that is making all the running at the moment is Reform UK. And its leader, Nigel Farage, polls consistently as the most-liked politician in the country.

Reform is on the march.

They are leading in nearly all of the major polls, ahead of Labour and with the Tories back in third.

A survey reported on in The Sun, meanwhile, suggested that in a General Election, Reform would be the biggest winner, with 180 seats.

Labour and the Conservatives would be on 165 seats each. But it’s not all plain sailing for Farage’s merry band. The party finds it very hard to climb ahead of 30 per cent in the national polls.

Because while Farage is one of the most liked politicians in the country, he is also one of the most DISLIKED.

Reform UK are a bit Marmite, you see. And 180 seats, though hugely impressive, is nowhere near enough for an overall majority.

The obvious thing is for Reform and the Tories to do some sort of unofficial deal.

If they’re not already doing that now, they are mad.

But Reform are taking a lot of their new votes from the Labour Party. And those Red Wall voters might not like the idea of voting for Nigel and getting Kemi (if she’s still around by 2029).

The PM must get rid of Ed Miliband, whose incredibly unpopular Net Zero policies will cost his party millions of votes[/caption]

So here’s the thing. We have a Government which has been pretty awful on the domestic front. But, to give credit where it’s due, has conducted itself very well indeed on the foreign stage.

It is also beginning to ditch some of the woke idiocies which prevented people like me from voting for it.

And this next year will be a real test for the Government.

What Labour needs to do is get rid of Rachel Reeves, who made a dog’s breakfast of her Budget.

Get rid of Ed Miliband, whose incredibly unpopular Net Zero policies will cost his party millions of votes.

Nasty race-baiting

Sir Keir needs to be absolutely clear about giving women single-sex spaces and drop entirely all this idiotic rubbish about men in frocks being real women.

Scrap the nasty, race-baiting business, too, where white folk are prevented from making the shortlists for public sector jobs.

And start a radical reform of the NHS.

If Labour can manage to do all that, then it might just be able to recover and prevent Reform UK from being the biggest party in Britain at the next election.

Otherwise, it will be Mr Farage in 10 Downing Street.

And with every day that passes, that seems to me a more and more agreeable outcome.

DAYS HAVE ME DAZED

I SEE that St George’s Day has been postponed.

At first I thought it was something to do with our woke government.

I only started getting interested in St George’s Day when people started demanding it be abolished[/caption]

That the thing had been cancelled to avoid giving offence to dragons.

“We believe it would be better to abolish this holiday and create a new day of celebration which can be enjoyed equally by both Christians and indeed members of our country’s vibrant fire-breathing community.”

But no, it’s just some weird date thing to do with Easter and the Church. And which I have read three times and still don’t quite understand.

To be honest, it doesn’t bother me much.

I only started getting interested in St George’s Day when people started demanding it be abolished because it was racist or something.

I’m not a big one for “days”. They’re all daft.

Did you know today is National Bucket List Day, for example? It really is.

It was founded by Cindy Lee, of Bucket List Coach Travel & Tours.

No kidding.

NUMBING NUMBERS

YOU will be told, endlessly, that mass immigration does not lead to a rise in crime.

Oh yes it does – as new figures from the Government will soon show.

The stats suggest that, for instance, Algerians appear 18 times more likely to be convicted of theft than British citizens.

Congolese nationals appear to be 12 times more likely, and Somalis eight times more likely to be convicted of a violent crime than UK citizens.

Overall, immigrants are 71 per cent more likely to commit sexual crimes than Brits.

These figures have been obtained under a freedom of information request by the Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick.

Soon we will have the full figures for crimes broken down by ethnic minority.

The Government didn’t want you to see any of this. I wonder why on earth not?

Floored by Joe and Amanda

How Rod’s terrifying recurring nightmare might look like

THERE’S been a new study into what we’re dreaming these days.

Apparently we’re all having anxiety dreams. Stuff where we imagine we are being chased and so on.

I have a recurring dream that I am stuck in a lift with Joe Lycett. And then I look at the walls and see that there are no buttons for any floors.

And the lift isn’t moving. There is a phone, however, for use in emergencies. But when I pick it up I just hear Amanda Holden cackling at me, and she won’t help.

Nightmare, I’m telling you.

BROKEN CHINA

ENERGY Secretary Ed Miliband has banned solar panels that were made by Chinese slave labour. Nothing is too pure for Mr Ed.

In the end we’ll have an energy policy based upon unicorns harvesting moonbeams.

Chinese slave labour is, of course, horrible.

So are most things the Chinese get up to. Such as those sweatshops where all that cheap clothing is made.

You either ban the lot or accept that this is, sadly, an imperfect world.

JUST A POPE DREAM

POPE FRANCIS seemed to have been a perfectly nice chap, for an Argie left-winger.

But I’m not sure that he will be remembered as a great pope.

Pope Francis died on Easter Monday[/caption]

In trying to please the trans and LGB lobbyists, he ended up estranging quite a large proportion of his own church.

The Roman Catholics should not go the way of the Church of England. And drop any idea of trying to be right-on.

Stick to the fundamental teachings of the Church.

And leave the political stuff to the politicians.

Incidentally, I would quite like to be the next pope. I’ve sent in a job application.

I shall let you know when I am shortlisted.

I’ve suggested it should be OK for popes and priests to have a shag twice a year, on Christmas Day and Easter Monday.

Providing they leave the altar boys alone.

OUR Government has been very quiet about ensuring that last week’s Supreme Court verdict on trans issues is put into practice.

I have the horrible feeling they are not going to do very much about it at all.

Just to jog their respective memories, tennis legend Martina Navratilova has delivered a forearm smash to Sir Keir.

She’s warned that left-wing politicians in the UK have “dropped the ball” on the issue.

And that Labour must not “unpick” the decisions made by the court.
Listen well, Sir Keir. This issue will not go away.
