M&S selling £3.80 tubs filled with biscuit version of iconic summer snack

SHOPPERS are in a frenzy as M&S launches a £3.80 tub filled with a twist on an iconic summer treat.

After a bumper bank holiday weekend of Easter egg hunts, family get-togethers and indulgence, many of us have likely had enough sweet treats to last a year.

But for snackaholics desperate for another scrumptious piece of confectionery to nibble on, M&S’ new Strawberries and Cream Mini Bites are sure to tantalise taste buds.

The biscuit version of the popular summer treat, often enjoyed at the likes of Wimbledon, is priced at just £3.80 for a 215g tub.

Shoppers have been raving about the product on social media, with one excited customer posting in the Newfoodsuk Facebook group: “New Strawberries & Cream Mini Bites from Marks & Spencer!

“Clusters of cornflakes, shortcake biscuits, marshmallows and dried strawberry pieces with a yogurt coating!

“Wow, these are packed full of flavour!

“These are a must try!”

A product description reads: “These moreish mini bites feature sweet and fruity strawberry and yogurt-flavoured clusters.

“Keep them in the cupboard for the ultimate summer snack.”

Snack fans have flooded the comments section of the Facebook post, to share their love for the product.

One person said: ” If I don’t get these weekend I’ll be sad!”

A second person, tagging a friend said: “We must try.”

A third person said: “Wow!”

And the tasty treat isn’t the only scrumptious snack that’s just landed on M&S shelves.

The upmarket supermarket has launched its own twist on the viral Dubai chocolate in an updated version of the insanely popular Big Daddy bar that had shoppers in a frenzy in 2024.

Like the Big Daddy, this new chocolate treat has layers of thick milk chocolate, gooey sweet and salty caramel and a light and crunchy biscuit crumb.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

However, it also has a brand new chunky pistachio layer, inspired by the hugely popular Dubai chocolate trend.

The chocolate bar is priced at £8.50 for a 250g bar, which although it may seem pricey is far cheaper than the original version of the chocolate.

The decadent treat has gone viral on social media over the past few months, with videos on the pistachio filled snack amassing over six million views.

The indulgent chocolate bar, which has a green filling made from pistachio and a traditional Arab dessert called Knafeh, often comes with a hefty price tag, with single bars retailing online for more than £20.

Due to its popularity, retailers have begun making dupes of the product, such as Lidl whose £3.99 version sold out in just 84 minutes.
