THE TOP-RATED camp sites and glamping sites for families in 2025 has been revealed.

They feature everything from sea views and roaming alpacas, to tractor rides.

The list was compiled by Pitchup.com, and were marked on the child-friendliness and number of reviews.

There are a broad range of sites, from high end shepherds huts to back-to-nature basic pitches.

Hill Farm Camping, Essex

Families love Hill Farm Camping for its free-roaming wallabies, alpacas and Emi the emu.

Owner Alan has also worked hard to make the site a family paradise, with a play area, sandpit, zipline, pitch and putt, archery and tractor and trailer rides.

The campsite is located between Braintree and Saffron Walden in the Essex countryside and it sits on a hill with great views.

The nearest village is approximately a 20-minute walk away and is home to a number of pubs and a small supermarket.

Price per night from £40.

Swallow Farm Campsite, Cheshire

Swallow Farm Campsite in Cheshire is a small farm camping site within a secluded south-facing field with simple facilities, families delight in back-to-basics stays at Swallow Farm.

Kids can spend hours feeding and petting the resident alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits, all kept in line by Pips the friendly collie.

The site also has a children’s play area with tennis rackets, space hoppers, footballs and nets.

The campsite is located 20 minutes from Chester and is close to a number of other family attractions including the Ice Cream Farm, which combines the world’s largest ice cream shop with indoor and outdoor play attractions.

Also close-by is the Crocky Trail, which is a mile-long adventure path with slides and rides.

Both attractions are within a 10-minutes’ drive of the campsite.

Easton Farm Park, Suffolk

Located next door to Farm Park with indoor and outdoor play areas and even goat yoga, Easton Farm Park campsite in Suffolk is combines farm life and woodland exploration.

The farm is home to lambs, goats, piglets and a number of interactive sessions, rides, activities and arts and crafts.

The woodland area also sprawls across 30 acres.

Entrance to Farm Park must be purchased separately and costs £13.95 per person.

Greenfields Campsite, Cheshire

Greenfields Campsite is a cosy holiday spot with 15 camping pitches and a wooden shepherd’s hut looking out across the surrounding farmland.

The hut features a kitchen, bunk beds and a bathroom.

Outside there is also a deck, where families can watch the roaming sheep and admire the sunset.

The village of Lower Peover is about a 15-minute walk away and is home to a shop and two pubs.

Also nearby is Knutsford, which boasts a number of trendy boutiques and several pubs and cafés.

Field View Luxury Glamping in Hampshire features luxury bell tents situated in a paddock overlooking animals grazing in neighbouring fields.

The peaceful site is also home to a number of sheep and each tent has a barbecue/firepit, outdoor seating and fairy lights.

Inside the tents, there is one kingsize bed and two single beds, comfy chairs, bedside lights, a small fridge, USB chargers and plug sockets.

The tents also each have a bathroom.

Medstead is around a mile away, where guests can find the campsite’s nearest pub and Alton is a 15-minute drive away.

Located in Somerset, Peak view Gardens is a campsite on the banks of the River Axe in Lower Weare.

The surrounding area boasts a beach, animal parks, Wookey Hole and England‘s smallest city – Wells.

The site is family friendly and is within a 20-minutes’ walk from Bodedern village, which is home to a butcher’s shop, a convenience store and a pub.

Campio Andy Camping, also in Anglesey, Wales, is a tents-only site in the village of Dwyran.

Spread across 16 acres, Rhea Farm and Fishery campsite is located just two miles from Axminster.

The farm is home to a sizable collection of animals including rheas, emus, ostriches, goats, sheep and a giant tortoise.

The campsite also has a 1.5-acre fishing lake stocked with rudd, tench, barbel and mirror carp where guests can fish for a fee.

There are also a number of ponds and great views of the surrounding countryside.

A beach offers a good spot to relax with a book or head to the huge grass area to sunbathe.
