FAM United wins MK300,000 U14 Top 8 Bonanza

FAM United have been crowded champions of the MK300,000 prize for the Under 14, Patrick Kaputa Top 8 Bonanza after defeating Maka Football Academy 1-0.
A single goal was enough to win the match for FAM as the team held firm to secure the trophy at Police ground in Lilongwe.
Speaking at the end of a two-days junior competition, National Youth Football Association general secretary Robson Woodwell hailed Kaputa’s passion towards youth football.
Woodwell believes the country could use this kind of initiative in a quest to realign its development policies and ensure talent is nurtured among youths.
According to Woodwell youth football, is delicate stage that needs to be properly handled hence calling for corporate world to support youth development.
He said despite hard economic conditions Kaputa with others decided to sponsor the bonanza in demonstrating they commitment towards the sport.
On his part, Kaputa said he wants to put in place measures that will help to develop and nurture talent in Nthanda U14 league, right from the grass root in central region.
