APD seeking public help to find suspect connected to southeast Austin Subway robbery
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is seeking public help to find a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that happened earlier this month at a southeast Austin Subway, the agency said in a news release.
Police said the alleged robbery happened April 5 between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Subway located at 1931 E. Ben White Boulevard.
The suspect "jumped on top of the counter and demanded cash while he threatened that he was armed with a gun," according to police. Then, police said the suspect left the scene on foot with "an undisclosed amount of cash."
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man, between 20-30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hooded sweat shirt that has a patch/emblem on the left shoulder, a white T-shirt underneath, black pants and white shoes.
