The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Comes Out Swinging
Somewhere, the media relations team for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints probably just let out a sigh. Hulu has dropped the latest trailer for season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and the #MomTok drama is nowhere near over. Whitney Leavitt (yes, the one who thought a used pregnancy test was an acceptable cake filling) wants to be let back into the group of Mormon influencers at the heart of the show, while newcomer Miranda Hope has shown up vowing to “set the record straight” about Taylor Frankie Paul’s infamous swinging sex scandal. But the MomTokers are suspicious of expanding their ranks: “Anyone that comes in at this point is clout-chasing,” Jessi Ngatikaura declares. Meanwhile, some of the cast members are also dealing with other fraught personal relationships — Paul is worried about her on-again, off-again partner Dakota Mortensen’s sobriety, while Jen Affleck suggests that her relationship with husband Zac Affleck is “pretty rocky.” And there’s even some international drama, with a trip to Vanderpump Villa in Italy apparently leading to some sort of a situation that resulted in a cease-and-desist. If you’ve been waiting impatiently for the second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Lives, your prayers will be answered when all 10 episodes drop on May 15.
