CPD releases photos of armed robbery crew that assaulted CTA Green Line passenger
Chicago police are searching for an armed crew of robbers who assaulted a person on the CTA Green Line this month in East Garfield Park.
The armed robbery occurred about 4:30 p.m. April 11 at the California station at 2800 W. Lake St., Chicago police said.
Police said one of four men pulled out a gun and approached a commuter, demanding their personal belongings. Three other robbers grabbed the belongings, then two of the robbers punched the commuter in the face, police said.
Police gave the following description of the suspects:
- Offender No. 1: light-complexioned male with face tattoo, wearing black hooded jacket, blue jeans and black and white shoes.
- Offender No. 2: medium-complexioned male wearing dark jacket, white shirt with logo, dark pants and green and white shoes.
- Offender No. 3: dark-complexioned male wearing a dark letterman-style "New York" jacket with white sleeves, gray ripped blue jeans and dark shoes.
- Offender No. 4: dark-complexioned male with braided hairstyle, wearing a hooded black jacket, light blue jeans and carrying a red backpack.
