Demi Moore Reveals Whether She Plans to Ditch Her Iconic Black Hair & Embrace Her Grays
This past year, given the astronomical success of The Substance, we’ve seen Demi Moore rock red carpets again and again. From her dazzling gowns to her silky, long black hair, Moore turned heads on every carpet she attended.
But will she continue rocking her signature long hair for a while? Well, in a new cover interview for People, Moore admitted she’s open to changing her look up, but has no interest in playing by the rules.
“I don’t know if I really ever did play by the rules,” she told the outlet. “I remember hearing, ‘Oh, you get to a certain age, and it’s not appropriate to have long hair.’ It really should be more what feels comfortable on you.”
So, as she got older (Moore is now 62), she just did what felt right, not what others were expecting of her. “Part of it was I looked around and saw women of a certain age cutting their hair, almost neutralizing themselves, and it didn’t make sense for me,” she said.
But there’s one major beauty trend she’s already got her eyes on next. “I look at women who have that incredible gray, especially long, and I think it’s striking,” Moore said, adding that she’d “100 percent” rock the silver-fox look. “I would definitely do it.”
So far, however, her gray strands aren’t enough to completely take over. “Mine’s like a smattering of gray that makes my hair look murky,” she said. “I didn’t really even start coloring it until I was, like, 55.”
As for a styling choice she’ll likely not opt for next, Moore said a pixie cut, like the iconic one she rocked in Ghost, might not be in her cards. “I don’t know,” she said. “There’s energy in hair, you know? But I never like to say never.”
No matter what style she rocks next, we’re sure Moore will continue to be a showstopper!
