McDonald’s reveals huge menu shake-up including all-new drink and returning fan-favourite McFlurry

MCDONALD’S has announced a range of new menu items hitting its restaurants in weeks.

The fast food chain will be making the menu shake-up on May 7, and it includes the return of a fan favourite McFlurry and the launch of a new summery drink.

The Biscoff McFlurry will be making a return after fans called for it to be put back on the menu
The new Frozen Cherry Lemonade is priced at £2.99 and will be ideal for warmer days
The popular Steakhouse Stack, featuring two beef patties and a black peppercorn sauce, is also going to be back on menus
The frappe has a vanilla flavour base which is blended with ice and Biscoff biscuit crumb

Fans will be able to try out the new Frozen Cherry Lemonade, which is described as a “tangy frozen lemonade with a deliciously sweet cherry flavoured swirl”.

It’s priced at £2.99.

McDonald’s lovers will also see the return of two Biscoff-flavoured items: the beloved Biscoff McFlurry and Biscoff Frappe.

The McFlurry, which costs £2.29, features a Biscoff biscuit crumb swirled onto the soft serve, giving it an extra crunch.

A smaller version is £1.69.

The frappe has a vanilla flavour base which is blended with ice and Biscoff biscuit crumb, then topped with a caramel flavoured cream and a dusting of more biscuit crumbs.

It costs £3.09.

McDonald’s fans had been calling for the Biscoff items to be put back on the menu, with one saying: “Can you bring back the Biscoff McFlurry and make it permanent.”

Another said: “Petition for McDonald’s to bring back the biscoff McFlurry.”

Plus, there’s more favourites making a return.

As The Sun revealed previously, The McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot is back, giving customers the option for a spicier burger for £5.99.

It includes chicken breast in a hot and crispy coating, lettuce, jalapenos, onions, cheese and Frank’s RedHot Mayo in a toasted sesame seed bun.

If you want to get it as a meal, you’ll be paying £7.99.

The hot burger was first introduced in the UK back in February 2024, and was available for around six weeks.

Alongside this, McDonald’s will be bringing out Frank’s RedHot Mayo separately as a dip – so you can dunk whichever menu items you like in the fiery sauce.

Another item returning is the popular Steakhouse Stack, costing £5.99.

The burger features two beef patties topped with cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions and fresh lettuce, then drizzled with a black peppercorn sauce and served in a toasted glazed sesame bun.

McDonald’s has also revealed some of its newer items are here to stay for the time being.

The Katsu Chicken One wrap will be sticking around and it will be just £1.99 on Wednesdays.

It usually costs £3.49, or £5.29 for a medium meal.

Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers are also staying on the menu.

Four pieces cost £2.49 and the dippers include mozzarella cheese flavoured with garlic and chives.

The tasty snack is served with a rich tomato dip.

McDonald’s regularly updates its menu to excite fans and bring back old favourites.

Last month it introduced Minecraft meals featuring a new “Nether Flame” sauce, with prices starting at £8.19.

The meals came with a choice of 12 Minecraft toys, or a Minecraft book available with the Happy Meal.

It also launched new cheesy garlic bread dippers and new apple-flavoured McFlurries.

At the same time, the chain waved bye to a number of items including its Mozzarella Dippers.

It also stopped selling its peppermint flavoured Shamrock Shake, which had been launched to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

How to save at McDonald's

You could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.

The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.

You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.

The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
