Store owners injured with knife after robbery, suspects sought
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Authorities are searching for two individuals who robbed a store on Saturday before stabbing the two store owners while fleeing from the scene, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office announced.
Around 10:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a robbery call at the Beavercreek Store on South Beavercreek Road.
"Two of the owners reported that they arrived at the store and found two individuals inside wearing dark clothing, masks, gloves, and hooded sweatshirts. The two individuals appeared to have broken into the business by breaking the hinges on the plywood covering the front door," CCSO said.
After confronting the two suspects, who were carrying large bags of stolen items, authorities say the suspects injured both store owners with a knife.
"The owners suffered non-life-threatening wounds on their arms and were transported to a local hospital for treatment," CCSO said.
One of the suspects dropped thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise while making an escape, officials said.
Detectives are looking for tips from the community regarding this case, including any surveillance video in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact CCSO.
