'One Tree Hill' Star Barbara Alyn Woods Reveals How She Started Dating 'The Golden Bachelorette' Contestant Mark Anderson

Barbara Alyn Woods is going strong with The Golden Bachelorette contestant Mark Anderson!

The 63-year-old One Tree Hill star recently revealed on the Drama Queens podcast how her relationship with the 57-year-old army veteran came to be.

“His daughter was on The Bachelor. Her name’s Kelsey. She’s beautiful, she’s wonderful, all of his kids are. At the end of The Bachelor, they go to their hometown. They take the Bachelor home to meet their family,” Barbara said, referring to The Bachelor season 28 winner Kelsey Anderson.

She continued, “And Mark was there being all cute and dimply and sweet and like, ‘Who’s that guy?’ I guess I wasn’t the only one who noticed his dimples. He was at the final episode of her show. He was in the audience and I’m watching with [my daughter] and like, ‘Oh, there’s my boyfriend.’”

Barbara said that during this time, Mark didn’t respond to her Instagram DM. However, she decided to try again when he was later cast on the first season of The Golden Bachelorette.

“They’re taking my boyfriend away from me. Then I DM him again. I don’t know what I said. It was so corny, whatever I said. Like, ‘You have a cute smile. You’re gonna go a long way in life,’ or something stupid. He still didn’t respond, but then I realized he’s not responding because he’s already on the show because they take your phones away. I’m watching every week to see if my boyfriend’s gonna get kicked off the show,” she explained.

After Mark‘s elimination, the two quickly hit it off.

“By the time he got kicked off, he had already responded to me. We started talking through social media, Then you go to the next step, texting, and then you go the next step and you talk. We started talking, and it’s been nonstop,” she said.

Barbara also said that her three children approve of the relationship.

“They love him, and they love seeing me happy. They love seeing me being treated correctly He’s just so soft-spoken, but when he speaks, it just means something,” she said.

Barbara and Mark sparked dating rumors last year when they posted Instagram photos of them attending a Halloween party together.
