Paddy Tally on the “turmoil” of Derry’s injury crisis ahead of Donegal clash
If it wasn’t for bad luck, Derry would have no luck at all. Paddy Tally ruefully suggested he must have ran over a black cat in recent weeks such is the seemingly never-ending run of injuries his side have had to deal with. Ahead of Sunday’s Ulster SFC rematch with defending champions Donegal, Tally is without first-choice goalkeeper Odhran Lynch and had to recall Ben McKinless to the squad ahead of the final League game against Armagh. Defenders Conor McCluskey and Gareth McKinless are out long-term, midfielder Anton Tohill is sidelined with a broken hand while Brendan Rogers remains a doubtful starter despite being named at full-back for Sunday’s showdown in Ballybofey. Donncha Gilmore and Cormac Murphy are also out while Padraig McGrogan, Ciaran McFaul and Lachlan Murray have only recently returned from injury.
