Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister arrives in Kabul
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Serik Zhumangarin, has arrived in Kabul for a three-day visit to attend an exhibition.
Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan, has arrived in Kabul for discussions and participation in an exhibition. The visit, scheduled from April 21 to April 23, aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
According to reports, this trip is focused on strengthening economic ties, with Kazakhstan showcasing its products in a special exhibition. The exhibition will feature approximately 40 booths representing Kazakhstan’s diverse industries.
Kazakh media reported that the exhibition in Kabul will be an essential platform for boosting trade between the two nations. It is expected that this event will facilitate further business exchanges and strengthen diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
In addition to the exhibition, Nooruddin Azizi, the Taliban’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, confirmed that Kazakhstan has agreed to engage in a trade partnership worth three billion dollars with Afghanistan. This deal marks a significant step toward solidifying economic ties.
Kazakhstan has been actively working to strengthen its relations with Afghanistan, particularly in the economic sphere. Last year, Kazakhstan took the step of removing the Taliban from its list of terrorist organizations to encourage more constructive dialogue and cooperation.
The visit by Serik and the planned exhibition represent significant steps toward fostering economic growth and collaboration between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. The three-billion-dollar trade agreement underscores the mutual interest in developing a robust economic partnership.
Economic relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have been expanding in recent years. Kazakhstan is recognized as a major exporter of food, grains, and oil to Afghanistan, while Afghanistan is striving to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties to foster domestic growth and development.
