Families enjoy Easter at Topeka Zoo
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Even though it was a rainy Easter Sunday, people in the community are finding ways to enjoy the day.
The Topeka Zoo was open all day Sunday. Some families came to the zoo after their Easter festivities. While the rain and the holiday made the zoo less crowded, some families wanted to take advantage of the quiet day.
"It's raining, so it wouldn't be very busy. But I've never been here, and this is where my dad and his family grew up," Zoo Visitor, Trey Faimon said. "So, we thought it would be a great idea just to come see something that he used to come to for his childhood."
Families were sure to come prepared with their umbrellas and raincoats to enjoy the day.
