Kay Jewelers robbed in Monroe County
MONROE — The Key Jewelers store on the 2300 block of Telegraph Road in Frenchtown Township, Mich., was robbed Saturday around 6:20 pm, according to Monroe County Sheriff Roy Goodnough. Three Black males, who appeared to be in their late teens to early twenties, entered the store, began breaking display cases, and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry, the sheriff said in a news release. The suspects fled in a white Jeep. The Jeep, which had previously been reported stolen, was recovered on Lasalle Road, east of N. Telegraph Road, less than a mile away from the store.
