ANYONE with poker-straight hair will tell you that it can be a struggle to get the perfect, bouncy curl – and my hair is no different.
To have thick, luscious curls, I normally have to get the tongs out and set them at the highest possible temperature.
Which, of course, only damages the hair, especially when you add the half a can of hairspray I need to use to get the curls to hold.
So when I heard that Revlon launched its own Blow-Dry Multi Air Styler without the hefty price tag, I knew I had to try it.
The five-in-one styler is super-gentle on your hair, and you can style it without extreme heat – which sounded so amazing to me that I wondered if it was too good to be true.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for – something that could give my hair shiny, healthy-looking styles but without the damage.
The innovative product comes with five interchangeable attachments, each designed to deliver a wide range of salon-quality hairstyles.
This means you can easily dry, curl, smooth, shape, and volumise your hair all with the one product.
To really put it to the test, I tried the 360° Vented Airflow Curler to see if it really could give me voluminous, bouncy curls with minimal damage.
The styler, which is a fan favourite on TikTok, promises to give gorgeous loose curls with airflow instead of heat with a 32mm barrel, while also smoothing the hair and reducing frizz.
Like I said, this all sounded too good to be true, so I wasn’t expecting incredible results, but, boy, was I wrong!
I decided to give it a go shortly after coming out of a shower. My hair was around 75 per cent dry, and I want to see if I really could skip a blow-dry and use the styler to dry and curl it at the same time.
It was surprisingly easy to use – it has four heat settings so you have full control of the temperature, and its sleek handle is actually very comfortable to hold and control.
I just locked in a section of the hair, rolled the barrel like any other set of tongs and held it for a few seconds to let the air blast it dry.
As soon as I let it go, this dry, soft, boucy curl rolled out.
It didn’t take long at all to curl all my hair either – easily less than half the time it would have taken me to dry it all first and then curl it with tongs.
The results were absolutely incredible – my hair had gorgeous, loose, beach-like curls, and I felt like I had just gotten a gorgeous salon blow-dry.
I was totally gobsmacked, I had no idea it could be that easy to get my hair looking that good!
Plus, I could immediately tell how much better it made my hair feel. Normally, after curling, it feels a little… solid. A little heavy and stuck with how the heat sealed the curls into place.
But this time, my hair felt so soft and weightless, and I actually thought it left it looking a little brighter and healthier, too.
It’s similar to other products like the Dyson Air Wrap styler, only where the Revlon Multi Air Styler wins out for me is that it gives the hair more volume whilst also holding the curl for much longer.
