Investigation begins after inmate found dead at Oklahoma County Jail
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — An inmate was found dead in her cell Friday evening at the Oklahoma County Jail.
Officials with the Oklahoma County Department of Corrections sent a release that said 38-year-old Kasey Ball was found unresponsive during a headcount Friday around 7 p.m.
Attempts were made to save her life, but she was then taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:06 p.m.
An investigation is underway as to how she died. Officials said her family has been notified.
Ball was booked on March 7 for charges of exploitation of an elderly person and a protective order violation. She was being held on a $15,000 bond.
