Cooler Friday with rain chances late
What We’re Tracking
- Cooling down a bit Friday
- Scattered rain and cooler for Easter weekend
- Warming back up next week
Winds have shifted as a cold front slid through overnight. Temperatures vary across the viewing area with 60s and 70s southeast. Further north and west have already dipped into the upper 40s and lower 50s under a mostly clear sky.
We'll see sunshine early on before fight cloud cover through most of the day. Many have already seen their high temperature as we stay in the upper 50s and lower 60s with winds from the northwest at 10-15 mph.
Showers and storms move in late tonight and linger into early Saturday morning. This will favor those south of I-70 and east of I-335. Isolated showers will be possible through the afternoon as temperatures struggle out of the upper 50s/
For Easter Sunday we are seeing a chance for some rain that we'll have to watch for for those easter egg hunts. Temperatures remain cool to wrap up the holiday weekend staying in the lower 60s. Widespread rain is likely throughout the day before drying out into the evening. You may want to find alternate outdoor plans for the holiday.
Temperatures start to warm back up next week with 70s returning by Monday. Rain chances also make a comeback by midweek.
