Wee Hibees Travel To St Mirren
Hibernian FC’s youngsters continue their CAS Elite U18 League title challenge this Friday as they face St Mirren!
The match takes place today (18 April) at the St Mirren Training Ground, with the game kicking off at 2pm.

The Lowdown
Darren McGregor’s side currently sit top of the CAS Elite Under-18 League with 55 points from 24 games. Our youngsters are currently ahead of second-placed Rangers on goal difference!
The Wee Hibees have been performing magnificently in their post-split fixtures winning all four!
During that time, out U18s beat St Mirren (6-1), Queen’ Park (7-0), Kilmarnock (7-2), and Aberdeen (1-0).

The Opposition
St Mirren currently sit fifth in the league table with 40 points from 25 games. They are 15 points behind our wee Hibees.
They come into this Friday’s game off the back of an impressive 2-2 draw with fellow title challengers Rangers. St Mirren took the lead twice in the game, but Rangers scored their second equaliser in the dying moments of the match.
During their post-split fixtures, the wee Buddies have had a fairly mixed bag of results. They beat Aberdeen 4-2 away and picked up a point against the Gers. However, they were beaten by Hibs, Kilmarnock, and Queen’s Park.
Their last win at the St Mirren Training Ground in the CAS Elite Under-18 League came back in February. Albeit only one of their post-split fixtures to date has come at home.
Head-To-Head
The two sides have met three times this season with the Hibees picking up six points so far!
The first meeting was actually the opening day of the 2024/25 campaign, as Darren McGregor’s side ran out 2-1 winners. Jamie McMurdo and Josh Landers were on target, in what was a close encounter.
Our solitary visit to the St Mirren Training Ground this season, though, ended in defeat as the Buddies ran out 2-1 victors back in November. Dean Cleland put the Hibees in front in the second half, but two late goals from the hosts turned the game on its head. That was our first defeat of the 2024/25 campaign.
In the last meeting, however, our wee Hibees were rampant! Darren McGregor’s side put six past St Mirren at HTC in what was a dominant display from start to finish. Logan Jimenez bagged a brace with Dean Cleland, Lewis Gillie, Luke Davidson and a St Mirren own-goal seeing Hibs through to a comfortable victory.
