Amorim knows his value: Untouchable Man Utd star sends transfer reminder to INEOS after what he did vs Lyon

Manchester United sealed a memorable 5-4 victory over Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals, delivering one of the most classic matches in recent memory.

Not known for brute strength, the youngster still showed grit, winning both of his duels.

Casemiro found him with a clever pass in a dangerous area, but Mainoo still had a lot to do.

Three Lyon defenders scrambled to block his path as he prepared to shoot.

His first touch was silky, his second created just enough room and with his third, he curled a peach of a shot into the far corner from an impossible angle.

Amorim knows that Mainoo thrives in tight spaces and the head coach utilised that quality by giving him attacking freedom.

Back in January, whispers emerged that INEOS may consider offloading Mainoo to boost their financial muscle.

Mainoo has given a fitting reminder to the executives that his departure would be a major setback for United, regardless of the monetary profit.

The teenager has proven he is untouchable.

We believe that under Amorim’s 3-4-3 set-up, he could blossom into United’s next generational star in the attacking midfield role.
