FSU shooting suspect Phoenix Ikner ‘bragged about having guns to classmates’ before ‘killing two in college rampage’

THE student accused of killing two people in a crazed college rampage reportedly bragged about the fact he had access to guns, his classmates have claimed.

Phoenix Ikner, 20, was unmasked as the suspect by cops following the horror that unfolded at Florida State University on Thursday.

Ikner, the son of a female cop, is believed to have used one of his mother’s weapons to carry out the shooting, according to investigators.

But, more details about the suspect’s behavior traits have now emerged.

Ikner was reportedly argumentative in class and known for engaging in conspiracy theories, according to his classmates.

Lucas Luzietti claimed that Ikner would boast that he had guns.

“I remember thinking this man should not have access to firearms,” he told USA Today.

Ikner was part of a political club at the college and was kicked out, as reported by CNN

Reid Seybold, an FSU student, claimed Ikner made some people feel so uncomfortable that they stopped coming.

“That’s kind of when we reached the breaking point with Phoenix, and we asked him to leave,” he said.

Riley Pusins, the political club’s president, claimed Ikner made inappropriate remarks.

Ikner allegedly wrote a chilling social media biography that warned about judgement day, as reported by The Mail.

It quoted a passage from the Bible that said: “You are my war club, my weapons for battle, with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms.”

Ikner’s mom is Jessica Ikner, a Leon County Sheriff’s Deputy, and investigators admitted it was “no surprise” he had access to weapons.

Officers suspect Ikner, who was part of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office youth advisory council, acted alone.

He was taken into custody and refused to speak with officers.

Ikner was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

But, his condition is not life-threatening, according to police.

The victims of the shooting have not been identified.

But cops confirmed that they were not students.

Footage obtained by CNN showed students hunkering down as they warned there was a “dangerous situation” unfolding on campus.

College students spoke of their horror as they recalled what happened.

Angel DeJesus told the Tallahassee Democrat that he was hiding in a small classroom.

Andrew Cheyne, a senior student, revealed that some barricaded themselves in restrooms.

Paige Miller recalled the moment she heard four bangs.

“I thought it was the roof collapsing honestly, and then suddenly three girls come running in and one of them was crying, ” she told the Tallahassee Democrat.

She claimed that she saw two people injured near the student union building on campus.

Sam Swartz said he heard around 10 gunshots and revealed students around him were “freaking out.”

FSU student Emily Palmer, 21, was by the Student Union when the shooting happened, and she told CNN she was terrified for her friends.

“I’m shaking … It’s just a lot going on,” she told the outlet from her student housing.

Reports of an active shooter situation started to emerge at around noon on Thursday.

Cops swooped on the college campus and instructed students and staff to shelter in place.

FBI agents also swarmed on the campus as they probed the situation.

The threat was neutralized more than three hours after the initial shooting reports emerged.

Vigils have since been held in light of the shooting.

Students were seen laying flowers and stuffed toys.

Others lit candles and knelt on the ground praying.

Students were seen comforting others in the show of solidarity.

Thursday’s incident was not the first shooting to hit the university.

In 2014, three people were injured after Myron May, a graduate, opened fire.
