Albany Tulip Court holding scholarship fundraiser
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A spring break movie night will benefit the Albany Tulip Queen and Court Scholarship Fund.
The Minecraft movie will be playing at Madison Theater Friday at 4:30 P.M., and ticket proceeds will benefit the fund.
The Tulip Queen serves as Albany's ambassador for a year, and she and her court spend the year involved in volunteer projects, including literacy campaigns striving to promote the value of reading to children.
The proceeds from the screening go toward a fund that supports scholarships awarded to the queen and court, as well as to students and literacy organizations they support. You can purchase tickets in advance online.
The deadline to nominate someone for 2025 Albany Tulip Queen has been extended to April 22.
